What
will my camper need for camp?
Please make sure that your camper has the following items with them
EVERY DAY so they can enjoy their day camp experience with us!
Swimsuit
or clothes to play in the creek or to play water games, towel, a change
of clothes and socks, closed-toe athletic shoes AND socks (wear to camp,
please) and a pair of closed-toe water shoes (you can't play in the
creek or play water games without them!), sunscreen (Please apply before
you come! It works better AND we only have time to do touch-ups!),
bug spray/lotion (Please apply before you come! We'll only have time
to do touch-ups!) , lunch with beverage ~ no microwavable food items,
please!
Please
avoid sending sodas, as they can dehydrate your camper. Water, juices,
and "ade" type drinks make a wonderful and refreshing beverage!
Please
DO NOT bring the following: toys, blankets, pillows, games, electronic
ANYTHING

Will
my camper get as dirty as you say?
Yes! Your camper will get dirty. This is a 100% OUT-OF-DOORS camp, which
means that unless it is thundering and lightening or the temperature
is unsafe, we will be outside. You will want to BATHE your camper every
night and do a quick check for creepy critters like ticks, etc. We keep
the property sprayed, however, critters still have a way of getting
into our camp site.

What
is your site like? What sort of "areas" do you have?
Our facilities are nestled in 17 wooded acres with Trinity Creek rambling
through to splash and slide in, a large pavilion for whole camp gatherings
and lunch, a sand based playground, sports field, mud pit, climbing
wall, hiking and biking trails, plenty of woods for fort-building, an
open "pole-barn" for group games, arts and crafts, tee pees,
an area for volleyball and archery, and a rather large tree house. We
are planning on adding a few "low-ropes" centers throughout
the woods for team building and extra fun.

My
child will be a 1st time camper this summer. What is a typical day like
at camp?
On a daily basis we have a flag ceremony complete with both the American
and Christian flags and pledges, as well as small group prayer time.
The counselor is responsible for creating and directing their activities
for the day. Often 2 or 3 groups will get together for sporting events,
arts and crafts, an occasional movie (in the worst heat), water games,
etc.... On Wednesdays we have Bible Time including singing, skits and
a short Bible story. Our theme for summer 2006 will be "Trees of
the Field" with our conversations and skits revolving around the
"trees" in the Bible - Tree of Life, Tree of Knowledge of
Good and Evil, Zacheus' tree, etc.

How
will my camper be grouped?
Most of our campers are placed in either age-related or interest related
small groups and are assigned to a wonderful Christian Counselor.
